Dan Smieszny
Dan Smieszny is Co-President of Gregga Jordan Smieszny
and has served as a partner since 1997. A long-time admirer of Bruce Gregga's work, Dan was mentored by Mr. Gregga,
and served in an apprentice position for several years. Dan began to supervise
the work of the architectural design department, working on a wide range
of projects throughout the country and abroad. In this capacity, he has
gained invaluable experience working with some of the most notable architects
in the industry.
Dan and Alex Jordan now own the firm and continue to work together on
all of the firm's projects. Assisted by his staff of architects and designers,
Dan focuses on the requirements and design of each of the firm's projects —
from small renovations to full scale, ground-up designs.
Background
Dan earned his Interior Design degree from Harrington Institute in Chicago. In 1980, the last year of his studies, he joined the firm
of Bruce Gregga Interiors. Dan has a passion for landscape architecture and garden design, and he enjoys the opportunity to design for the firm's clients, as well as collaborate with their landscape designers.
